Actors' Network
Welcome to The Actors' Network, a unique, award-winning organization which helps actors with the business half of the acting profession. Actors, in all stages of their career, can get to the next level using the benefits, tools, and expertise provided by membership.
Since its founding in 1991 The Actors' Network remains the only organization of its kind in the world. The Actors' Network has dozens of successful Alums and members, from Masi Oka (Heroes), Christopher Gorham (Ugly Betty), Tamara Braun (Days of Our Lives) and Amir Talai (The Ex List, CBS Fall 2008)! The Actors' Network is the on-going beacon of knowledge, harnessed and presented by veteran leaders, that no university nor class offers. Knowledge is power!

Act Now!
ACT NOW's workshops are between two and six weeks in length, depending on your needs as an actor. We approach networking as process, and believe that developing relationships for the long term is a vital part of your marketing career.
INTENSIVES:
You will work with the same casting director over the course of several weeks. Actors do cold-reading scenes provided by the instructor each week. Topics that are covered include but are not limited to : audition techniques, etiquette, the business of acting, performance adjustments and feedback. There is always an open forum for questions and answers.
COMMERCIAL WORKSHOPS:
In this intensive you will work with a commercial casting director over the course of four weeks. All aspects of commercial technique are covered. This workshop is on camera and actors will perform several times each night.
SOAP WORKSHOPS:
In this intensive you will work with a soap casting director on the specifics of auditioning for Soap Operas. Topics discussed include contract roles vs. day player roles vs. under-five’s. Actors will perform each week.
STAND UP COMEDY WORKSHOPS:
This five week workshop is a great way to dive into the world of Stand-Up Comedy. Bring your funny with you! The final night, you will perform a five minute routine you’ve been working on at the famous Improv in Hollywood!
VOICE OVER WORKSHOPS:
These workshops are run by a Casting Director in the voiceover community. Actors perform copy from commercials, video games and cartoons. The work is recorded with playback and feedback. Instructors also discuss breaking into voiceovers, demos, on-line casting, and more.
ADVANCED NETWORKING / MARKETING SEMINAR:
This workshop is a one day kick in the pants on the “business side of the business.” The following topics are discussed: Your current marketing tools, networking & marketing strategies, targeting agents/managers, self-sabotaging behavior, top ten rules for small business success, as well as much much more. This day- long seminar is interactive with an open Q&A forum.
